Just putting the final touches on my company website - doing the necessary and tedious work that goes into building a website from scratch. It hasn't been too arduous, just time-consuming and difficult getting the details and critical items to my satisfaction.
Trying my best to promote "Freedom's Dance" - an important treatise of a culture that has been carried down through generations by people of African descent in America. Want to ensure that the beautiful and dedicated culture-bearers have the truth told about what they do and why they do it. Want to ensure that the true story of our ancestors is told in a full and accurate manner.
This is particularly important in this political and social climate in these not-so United States. Our people have taken a few major steps forward and been pushed back 10 - the backlash so sharp and swift that you can hear the whip cracking before the strike.
Mine is just another book life...a continuation of a mission started in my early teens when I decide to become a journalist. The path hasn't always been smooth and it's been tough and rough, some of it caused by my own doing, but certainly not as difficult as our forebearers had to endure. I am always mindful of that fact. This book is another step in the journey of telling OUR stories as best as I can.
May God provide the lighted path and the strength to keep on pushing.
